I work with the known. That means, I support and foster the strengthening of the structures that create order, clarity, plans, purpose and fulfillment in your life. I also work with the unknown, that which escapes the mapped territory, and that is feared but also desired. The unknown has the information that we are lacking, as the old wisdom goes: the thing we want the most hides where we least want to look. Finally, I work with you and your capacity to flow from the known to the unknown, to approach the new, and to find the treasure that hides behind the dragon.
EDUCATION AND TRAINING
PROCESS WORK is the main modality I use in my work. It stems from depth psychology, expanding it in ways to work with the living unconscious present in the moment. With PW we can explore body symptoms, dreams, relationship issues, communication issues, world and social situations, addictions, spirituality, and more, in order to find the deeper wisdom hidden in background patterns. PW is a non-pathologizing, compassionate and inviting way of looking at every aspect of life as emerging from this deeper wisdom, exploring each experience in its own terms in order to open up its potential for us.
NATIVE WISDOM: The sweet, subtle, deep, magical and ecological words of my native elders run through my veins and are rooted in my DNA. Sometimes I am also a human being trying to catch up with modern complex life, having the experience of an immigrant from South America. But, when I am not shy, there is a different kind of life in me, one that is interested in very different things than modern values. Looking at the path of heart of people, cultivating the bonds of community, following the threads that connect us to every sentient being around us… all those are parts of my deeper being. With it, I know that my Elders also carry a message for those that want to listen, about waking up to being stewards of the Earth.
MODERN PERSPECTIVES: I love neuroscience and modern psychology. Learning about how neurobiological structures support mind processes opens my imagination. Learning about interpersonal neurobiology, developmental psychopathology, attachment, trauma, emotional regulation, and other modalities that support better internal and external integration in human beings are also an important part of my current research and practice with individuals and couples.
